i need you. not in a way that’s desperate or incomplete without you but a need like when the stars need the night to be seen. to glow. a need like the way my heart feels steadier when I hear your voice or when you hold me and everything disappears for just a moment.

i need the way you look at me- as if I’m the only one in the room. the way we make the perfect team and the way your love reaches certain parts of me- the soft hidden places I thought would never be noticed.

i need you because you’ve become a part of my everyday- life makes more sense with you in it. fuller. because with you, everything feels just a little more like magic.
